At Spirit & Sand, our mission is to provide support that goes beyond housing, empowering individuals to unlock their inner strength and transform their lives. We believe that safe, stable housing is just the foundation for breaking cycles of poverty and sparking personal growth. Through our holistic approach, we inspire those we serve to become engaged, valued members of their communities, We aim to foster resilient, thriving neighborhoods where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and contribute.

By integrating comprehensive support services and fostering a sense of belonging, these communities will not only provide a solid foundation for overcoming poverty but also inspire a culture of resilience and collaboration.
The Need
From 2023 to 2024, homelessness in Minnesota increased by 10%. Currently, over 10,000 people in our state lack safe, stable housing, with many forced to sleep outdoors. A third of those experiencing homelessness are not in formal shelters, often due to fears of violence, sexual assault, theft, overcrowding, inaccessibility, and pervasive drug use. Shockingly, 40% of the homeless population consists of children and youth. Your donation directly addresses this urgent crisis and helps expand our current programs to better serve those in need.
